A sensory exhibition for the blind and beyond

On 30 May 1953, Jonas Žemaitis, code name Vytautas, a signatory of the Declaration of the Union of Lithuanian Freedom Fighters Council of 16 February 1949, chairman of the presidium of the Union of Lithuanian Freedom Fighters Council, partisan general, the fourth President of Lithuania, was arrested in a bunker in the Šimkaičiai Forest in Jurbarkas district, after the use of sleeping gas. He was accompanied by Marijona Žiliūtė, code name Eglutė, who was unconscious, and Elena Palubeckaitė, code name Liudas, who was in the bunker.
