Fragments from “Vėliava iš plytų” (“The Brick Flag”), a documentary about Artūras Sakalauskas, a Soviet soldier who shot some of his comrades who had abused and humiliated him. Under the influence of Moscow’s propaganda, the relatives of the perpetrators, who had been shot, called Sakalauskas a Western agent. The then “Lithuanian” media, censored by the local communists, did not report anything about the 1987 tragedy, unlike the Russian “Komsomolskaya Pravda”.
